What Is Hot Tub Removal?

Hot tub removal in Toronto covers acrylic, fibreglass, and rotomould spas from backyard decks, patios, and enclosed sunrooms. Every removal includes drain-down, 110V or 240V electrical disconnect, panel-by-panel dismantle using a reciprocating saw, and haul-away. A WSIB-compliant two-person crew handles side gate access, deck disassembly where required, and eco-certified disposal of acrylic shells, foam insulation panels, and fibreglass components.

The way it actually works is that we drain it, cut the acrylic shell into manageable sections, break down the frame, and carry the pieces out through whatever access you have. Once it is in sections, a narrow side gate stops being a problem. Demolition-style jobs like this run with the same insured two-person crews as the rest of our junk removal work across Toronto and the GTA.

We do this across Toronto same day, for a fixed price agreed before anything is cut.

What Is Included

  • Draining with a submersible pump, or working with a tub you have pre-drained
  • Disconnection at the 240V isolator, with wiring left safe and capped
  • Cutting the acrylic shell into carryable sections
  • Dismantling the timber frame and removing fibreglass insulation
  • Removal of the cover, cover lifter, steps, and surround panels
  • Deck cut-back where the tub is sunk in
  • Full haul-away and a swept pad

Common Problems We Solve

It Has Not Been Used In Years

This is the standard story. The tub was great for two summers, then the heater failed or the running cost stopped making sense, and it has been sitting under a sagging cover ever since taking up the best corner of the yard.

Nobody Can Get It Out

A hot tub arrived before the fence went up, or came in over a deck that has since been rebuilt. People assume it needs a crane. It does not. Cut down in place, it comes out in pieces through a standard gate.

It Is Full Of Water

A tub that has not been drained is holding well over a tonne of water. We bring a pump and hose and empty it to the nearest drain before touching the shell.

The Deck Was Built Around It

Sunk or partially sunk tubs need decking cut back to release the shell. We do that as part of the job, and remove the cut deck boards with the rest of the debris.

What It Costs

  • Small tub, open access: $299 to $349
  • Standard backyard tub: $349 to $429
  • Large or deck-sunk tub: $429 to $499

Every price includes draining, disconnection, cutting down, haul-away, and sweeping the pad. If the shed is going at the same time, ask about combining them: see shed removal in Toronto. If the tub sat on a concrete pad you also want gone, concrete removal covers that.

The Difference

Why Choose Us For Hot Tub Removal

The Whole Job, Not Part Of It

Draining, disconnecting, cutting down, hauling, and clearing the pad are all included. You are not left with a shell in the yard and half a job done.

Narrow Gates Are Normal

Most Toronto backyards have a 90cm side gate. We cut the tub down in place rather than trying to crane it out, which is why access rarely changes the price much.

Electrical Handled Safely

Hot tubs run on a 240V dedicated circuit. We disconnect at the isolator and leave the wiring safe and capped for your electrician.

Fixed Price, Same Day

$299 to $499 depending on size and access, confirmed before we start, with same-day slots available.

Simple Process

How Our Hot Tub Removal Works

  1. 01

Send A Photo Of The Tub And Gate

Tub size and the width of the access route set the price. Two photos are usually enough for a firm quote.

  2. 02

    Book A Window

Same-day or next-day. Allow two to three hours on site for a standard backyard tub.

  3. 03

    Drain, Cut, Carry

We pump it out, disconnect the power at the isolator, cut the shell into sections, and carry everything out.

  4. 04

    Clear The Pad

Shell, frame, insulation, and cover all go. The pad is swept and the site is left clean.

Hot Tub Removal FAQs

How much does hot tub removal cost in Toronto?

Between $299 and $499 depending on size and access. A small two to four person tub with driveway access is $299 to $349, a standard backyard tub is $349 to $429, and a large or deck-sunk tub is $429 to $499. The price is confirmed before we start.

Do I need to drain it first?

No, but it helps. If you can run a pump overnight before we arrive, the job is faster and cleaner. If not, we bring a submersible pump and drain it on site as part of the service.

My gate is narrow. Can you still get it out?

Yes. Almost every backyard tub we remove comes out through a standard side gate. We cut the shell into sections in place with a reciprocating saw, so the access route rarely blocks the job.

What about the electrical connection?

Hot tubs run on a 240V dedicated circuit. We disconnect at the isolator and leave the wiring safe and capped. If you want the circuit fully removed back to the panel, that is a licensed electrician's job.

What if the tub is sunk into a deck?

We cut back the decking around it as needed to get the shell out. Tell us when you book so we allow the extra crew time, which is reflected in the higher price band.

How long does it take?

Two to three hours for a standard backyard tub, including draining. Larger or deck-sunk tubs can run to half a day.

Do you take the cover and steps as well?

Yes. Cover, cover lifter, steps, surround panels, and any leftover chemicals packaging all go with the load. Liquid spa chemicals themselves need a hazardous waste depot.

Can you come today?

Often yes. We hold same-day slots for specialty jobs like this. Same-day bookings carry a flat $50 rush surcharge.

Still have a question?

Call the crew directly and we will tell you straight whether we can take it and what it costs.
