What Is Junk Removal In Toronto?

Junk removal in Toronto covers residential load-and-haul, estate clearances, and commercial strip-outs - priced by the quarter, half, or full truck rather than by the hour. Every booking uses a WSIB-compliant two-person crew with furniture dollies, appliance straps, and floor protection. Loads are sorted on arrival: Furniture Bank and Habitat ReStore for usable furniture, Ontario-certified mattress recyclers for bedding, OES-registered e-waste collectors for electronics, and Ontario Ministry of the Environment eco-certified transfer stations for general junk - up to 60% diverted from landfill on a typical residential job.

Most of our Toronto work falls into three shapes. There is the single awkward item, a sofa bed on a third floor or a fridge in a back kitchen. There is the room, a basement or garage that has quietly filled up over fifteen years. And there is the whole property, usually a move, an estate, or a rental turnover with a deadline attached. All three are priced the same way, by how much space the load takes in the truck. That volume-based approach is the foundation of everything we do across Toronto and the GTA, from a single item to a full property clearance.

What we do not do is charge by the hour. That is the single biggest complaint we hear about other companies in the city, and it is why so many Toronto residents end up on Reddit asking what junk removal actually costs. Our answer is a quarter, half, or full truck price, locked in before the first box moves.

What Is Included In Every Job

Every booking, from one chair to a full house, includes the same things. There are no add-on fees for labour, disposal, or fuel.

  • A two-person crew and a truck, so nothing waits for a second visit
  • All loading, carrying, stairs, and doorway navigation
  • Load-based pricing confirmed on site before work starts
  • Sweep-up of the cleared space
  • Sorting for donation, recycling, and eco-certified disposal
  • Fuel, tipping fees, and disposal charges built into the quoted price

Common Problems We Solve

The Basement That Filled Up Slowly

Toronto basements collect things for decades: old bed frames, exercise equipment, boxes from a previous move, a broken dehumidifier. Nothing in there is worth a trip to the transfer station on its own, so it stays. We clear the whole thing in one visit, carry it all up the stairs, and leave the floor swept.

The Item Two People Cannot Lift

A sleeper sofa in a narrow stairwell, a treadmill in a spare room, a chest freezer in a garage. These are the jobs where people injure their backs or scratch a wall trying. Our crew brings straps, dollies, and floor protection, and dismantles pieces where the stairwell will not take them whole.

The Deadline

Closing dates, tenant turnovers, and estate handovers do not move. When a property has to be empty by Friday and the pile is still there Thursday morning, a five-day booking queue is useless. That is exactly the gap our same-day service fills.

The Uncertainty About Cost

If a company will not name a number until the truck is in your driveway, you are negotiating from a weak position. We give you a price band on the phone based on what you describe, then confirm the exact figure on arrival before any work starts. If it is more than you expected, you can stop us right there at no cost.

What Affects The Price

Volume is the main driver, but a few other things shift where a job lands in the price band:

  • How much space it takes in the truck. A quarter truck is roughly a small pile of furniture and boxes; a full truck is a large room or a small property.
  • Weight for dense materials. Concrete, soil, and tile are quoted separately because a small volume can still max out a truck’s legal load.
  • Item type. Fridges, freezers, and mattresses carry per-unit disposal costs because of refrigerant recovery and recycling requirements.
  • Same-day timing. A flat $50 rush surcharge applies to same-day bookings inside our cutoff times.

Not sure which band you fall into? Send two or three photos and we will tell you before we book anything. For a breakdown of every price tier, see our affordable junk removal page, or check same-day junk removal if you need it gone today.

The Difference

Why Choose Us For Junk Removal

Same-Day, Not Five Days Out

Franchises book three to five days ahead. We hold same-day slots every morning and give you a confirmed arrival window instead of a vague all-day promise.

Price Locked Before We Start

You get a load-based price on the spot, not an hourly meter. Nothing gets loaded until you have agreed the number, and it does not move at the end.

Two People On Every Job

Every visit runs with a two-person crew and a truck. That means stairs, tight condo doorways, and heavy appliances are handled without you lifting anything.

Insured And Compliant

We carry $2M general liability, we are WSIB compliant, and a Certificate of Insurance is available for property managers and condo boards on request.

Simple Process

How Our Junk Removal Works

  1. 01

Tell Us What Needs To Go

Call or send a couple of photos. We size the load into a quarter, half, or full truck and give you the price band straight away.

  2. 02

    Lock In Your Window

Pick a same-day or next-day morning or afternoon slot. We confirm it and call before the crew leaves the previous job.

  3. 03

    We Load Everything

The crew confirms the final load-based price before touching anything, then handles the stairs, doorways, and heavy lifting.

  4. 04

    Swept And Sorted

We sweep the space and route the load to donation, recycling, and eco-certified disposal partners.

Junk Removal FAQs

How much does junk removal cost in Toronto?

Pricing is load-based. One or two items run $49 to $89, a quarter truck is $89 to $149, a half truck is $199 to $279, and a full truck is $389 to $549. Extra full truckloads are $349 to $499. The price includes the two-person crew, truck, fuel, loading, and eco-certified disposal, and it is confirmed before we touch anything.

Can you come today?

Usually yes. We hold same-day slots across Toronto and the GTA every morning. Book before our mid-morning cutoff and we will confirm a same-day morning or afternoon window. Same-day bookings carry a flat $50 rush surcharge.

What items will you not take?

For safety we cannot take propane tanks, paints, solvents, fuel, motor oil, or anti-freeze. Those need a household hazardous waste depot, and we will tell you where the closest one is. We take almost everything else.

Do I need to move anything to the curb first?

No. The crew does all the carrying, from a third-floor walk-up, a back garden, or a packed basement. You point at what goes and we handle the rest.

What happens to my stuff after pickup?

We sort every load. Reusable furniture and household goods go to donation partners, metals and electronics go to recyclers, and only what is left goes to eco-certified disposal. Up to 60% of a typical load stays out of landfill.

How is load-based pricing different from hourly?

Hourly pricing means a slow crew costs you more and you cannot know the total in advance. Load-based pricing charges for the space your junk takes in the truck, so the number is fixed before the first item moves. That is also why we send two people, since finishing faster costs you nothing extra.

Do you charge extra for stairs or long carries?

No. Stairs, elevators, long driveways, and back gardens are part of the job. The only surcharge we apply is the flat $50 same-day rush fee, and we tell you about it when you book.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry $2M general liability insurance, we are WSIB compliant, and we are Toronto business licensed. A Certificate of Insurance is available on request for condo boards, property managers, and commercial sites.

Still have a question?

Call the crew directly and we will tell you straight whether we can take it and what it costs.
