Every load is sorted by metal type and delivered to licensed Ontario scrap processors - not general transfer stations. Ferrous means steel and iron: old railings, cast iron radiators, bed frames, shelving units, appliance shells, tools, and pipe. Non-ferrous means aluminium, copper, brass, and stainless: wiring, plumbing runs, gutters, window frames, and fittings. Both are recyclable indefinitely, which is why metal recovery is one of the few genuinely closed loops in waste handling. The reason people call rather than driving it to a yard themselves is weight. A single cast iron radiator can run 80 kilograms and it is invariably in a basement.

The Radiator In The Basement
Cast iron radiators come out during heating upgrades and then sit for years because nobody can move them alone. They are dense, sharp-edged, and impossible to grip. Two people, straps, and a stair-capable dolly makes it routine.
The Workshop Clear-Out
Old tools, offcuts, shelving, and half a lifetime of hardware in a garage or shed. Metal is separated as we load rather than being mixed into a general waste stream.
The Renovation Strip-Out
Kitchen and bathroom renovations produce a surprising amount of metal: copper pipe runs, ductwork, old sinks, radiators, and steel studs. Contractors book us to clear it between phases so the site stays workable.
The Yard Pile
Metal left outside rusts, becomes a hazard, and eventually attracts complaints. Because scrap has recovery value at the recycler, this is one of the cheaper loads we handle.
